Fire Update – Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests firefighters respond to
multiple fires
DELTA, Colo. (July 11, 2025) — The U.S. Forest Service continues to respond to multiple
wildfire incidents across [insert affected regions], with firefighting personnel working
diligently to contain active fires and ensure public safety. Crews have made strategic progress
thanks to favorable conditions in some areas, while challenges persist in others due to high
temperatures, gusty winds, and rugged terrain. The safety of our firefighters and community
members remains our top priority as suppression efforts and resource support continue.
Indian Creek Fire:
Spring Camp Fire:
Sanborn Park Fire: Controlled, <1 acre burned.
Pine Ridge Fire: Controlled, <1 acre burned.
All incidents are staffed, and firefighting crews are taking initial suppression actions while
coordinating with partner agencies on other starts in the region. Updates will be provided as
conditions change, and additional information becomes available.
Please only call 911, Montrose or Grand Junction dispatch for unreported fires, emergency
crews are on scene and actively engage in suppression of the fires listed above. For your safety
and to support active firefighting efforts, please avoid fire-affected areas until further notice.
