Gold Mountain Fire⚠️EVACUATION UPDATE July 6th at 8:00 AM

As of this morning, July 6, the Gold Mountain Fire has entered southwestern Gunnison County and has triggered a MANDATORY EVACUATION notice for Zone 32 and a VOLUNTARY evacuation for Zone 33. See below for important information:
🟥MANDATORY EVACUATION NOTICE – ZONE 32: GO NOW!
The Gunnison County Sheriff has issued a Mandatory Evacuation Notice for Zone 32 in southwest Gunnison County. This is the area south of Storm King, east of Cimmaron Ridge to County Rd 864A in the Cimmaron Valley to the US Forest Service boundary. This includes the Bear Claw, Silver Jack, Eagle’s Rest, and Little Bighorn subdivisions.
This is a LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION: GO NOW! Leave the area immediately. An evacuation shelter has been set up at the Ridgway Secondary School (1200 Green St, Ridgway, CO 81432).
If you need to evacuate livestock/large animals (horses, cattle, goats, swine, sheep), the Montrose County Fairgrounds (1001 N 2nd St, Montrose, CO 81401) has been set up as an evacuation location. Call Jaime Goza at 970-275-5344 if you are bringing animals. Mandatory vet checks will be conducted on all animals entering.
Pets (cats/dogs) can be taken to the Montrose Animal Shelter at 3383 N. Townsend Ave, Montrose, CO 81403.
‼ If you choose to ignore this Mandatory Evacuation order, you must understand that emergency services will not be available and you may not be rescued. Volunteers will NOT be allowed to enter the area to provide assistance.
🟨VOLUNTARY EVACUATION NOTICE – ZONE 33: GET READY!
The Gunnison County Sheriff has issued a Voluntary Evacuation Notice for Zone 33 in southwest Gunnison County. This is the area east of County Road 864A and West of Big Blue Creek, up to the BLM boundary; and south of the intersection of County Road 883 and County Road 864, also known as Little Cimmaron; and north of the Forest Service Boundary. This includes properties along Johnson Park Rd and Little Cimmaron Rd within this boundary.

Review the map now if you live in the area of southwest Gunnison County to get familiar with your zone.
Voluntary Evacuation means:
➡️ This area is NOT under a Mandatory Evacuation order yet, but your area is at high risk.
➡️ Conditions may change quickly, and we need you to be prepared and ready in case a mandatory evacuation is issued.
➡️ If you require a longer time to evacuate due to medical issues, livestock needs, or other factors, we urge you to begin evacuation preparations immediately and be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.
Gunnison County Emergency Management is sending out Gunnison Regional Alerts to persons registered with addresses in the defined evacuation zones located within Gunnison County. You will not receive alerts if you do not live in zoned areas.

A fecha de esta mañana, el incendio de Gold Mountain ha llegado al suroeste del condado de Gunnison y ha dado lugar a una orden de EVACUACIÓN OBLIGATORIA para la Zona 32 y a una evacuación VOLUNTARIA para la Zona 33. A continuación se ofrece información importante:
🟥AVISO DE EVACUACIÓN OBLIGATORIA – ZONA 32: ¡VETE YA!
El sheriff del condado de Gunnison ha emitido un aviso de evacuación obligatoria para la Zona 32, en el suroeste del condado de Gunnison. Se trata de la zona situada al sur de Storm King, al este de Cimmaron Ridge hasta la carretera comarcal 864A en el valle de Cimmaron, hasta el límite del Servicio Forestal de EE. UU. Esto incluye las urbanizaciones Bear Claw, Silver Jack, Eagle’s Rest y Little Bighorn.
SE TRATA DE UNA SITUACIÓN QUE PONE EN PELIGRO LA VIDA: ¡VÁYANSE YA! Abandonen la zona de inmediato. Se ha habilitado un centro de acogida para evacuados en la Escuela Secundaria de Ridgway (1200 Green St, Ridgway, CO 81432).
Si necesita evacuar ganado o animales de gran tamaño (caballos, vacas, cabras, cerdos, ovejas), el recinto ferial del condado de Montrose (1001 N 2nd St, Montrose, CO 81401) se ha habilitado como punto de evacuación. Llame a Jaime Goza al 970-275-5344 si va a llevar animales. Se realizarán controles veterinarios obligatorios a todos los animales que entren.
Las mascotas (gatos y perros) pueden llevarse al refugio de animales de Montrose, situado en 3383 N. Townsend Ave, Montrose, CO 81403.
‼ Si decides ignorar esta orden de evacuación obligatoria, debes tener en cuenta que los servicios de emergencia no estarán disponibles y es posible que no te rescaten. NO se permitirá a los voluntarios entrar en la zona para prestar asistencia.

El sheriff del condado de Gunnison ha emitido un aviso de evacuación voluntaria para la zona 33, situada en el suroeste del condado de Gunnison. Se trata de la zona situada al este de la carretera comarcal 864A y al oeste de Big Blue Creek, hasta el límite de la Oficina de Gestión de Tierras (BLM); al sur de la intersección de las carreteras comarcales 883 y 864, también conocida como Little Cimmaron; y al norte del límite del Servicio Forestal. Esto incluye las propiedades situadas a lo largo de Johnson Park Rd y Little Cimmaron Rd dentro de este límite.
